Are you a multi-passionate SLP trying to balance it all?
Let me tell you, you are not alone! Luckily, being an SLP doesn’t have to be the only thing that defines you! You can lean into those other passions too. In this episode of SLP Coffee Talk, I sat down with Rachel Musial to talk about how you can balance your SLP identity and your personal passions as a multi-passionate person.
Rachel is an ADHD SLP whose core focus lies in fostering meaningful connections with her clients, families, and community. Rachel embraces mindfulness as a powerful tool to combat stress, both in her professional practice and personal life.
Rachel's life extends beyond her SLP career, embracing travel and living abroad in Spain, along with her dedication to working with foster service dogs, hiking, and practicing tarot.
These diverse passions bring fulfillment and richness to her multifaceted life beyond speech-language pathology.
Through 1:1 coaching, Rachel supports fellow SLPs, students, and health professionals in managing ADHD, integrating mindfulness, and finding harmony in work-life balance.
In This Episode You’ll Discover:
- We have to realize that being SLPs is only part of who we are
- Why we have to stop defining our worth based on our work
- How embracing your various passions can fuel your life
- Don’t have time to find your passion? Here’s what to do
- How we can set more boundaries for work-life balance
- How to audit your days and eliminate the things that drain you
- Tips for defining success on your own terms
I hope you enjoyed this episode with Rachel! It’s so important to find your other passions and make sure that's a part of your everyday life. Being burnt out is not a way to survive, so embrace all aspects of who you are, not just the SLP aspect!
