175: Finding the Right CFY Fit with Daj Mitchell
Wondering how you can find the right CFY for you?
In this episode of SLP Coffee Talk, I sat down with Daj Mitchell to talk about how you can find the perfect CFY for you. Daj learned a lot on her journey to finding the right CF for her, and she’s sharing her tips for interviewing, questions to ask, and other things to consider so you can have the best CFY possible!
Daj’za (Daj) Mitchell graduated from Illinois State University with her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology in 2022. When she is not spending time with friends and family, Daj enjoys cooking new recipes and posting content on her SLP-focused social media platforms.
Although Daj has not been an SLP for long, she has over 6 years of experience working with pediatric and adult clients in a variety of settings. Throughout her various roles, Daj has grown a passion for using trauma-informed care in her practice, to connect to young learners with histories of trauma.
Daj is a firm believer that ALL children can be reached and is currently pursuing her second master's in Applied Behavior Analysis to better serve current and future clients.
She is also the creator of The Co-Treat Corner, a podcast focused on collaboration across disciplines for increasing quality of care.
