I have many students on my caseload working on inferencing. I try to target this skill at all levels (pictures, sentences, paragraphs, and stories). I often run out of materials to target inferencing at the picture level. Well…I created a new activity to fix that!
Using this activity:
-Print (and laminate) all picture cards provided.
-Show images to students. Have them describe what they see. Then have them read and answer the question provided. 42 cards included!
-Visual aid provided to assist in understanding how to infer.
-Graphic organizer is included to help generate responses as well. Spaces included for writing about 10 cards.
