Welcome back to week 3 of the Live from the ASHA Convention episodes! If you didn’t get a chance to check out the last two episodes yet, make sure to check those out because they are packed with some amazing tips from other SLPs on things like books, games, and resources for speech, as well as their best tips for new SLPs.
In this episode of SLP Coffee Talk, I once again interviewed ASHA attendees to find out why they believe you should consider coming to an ASHA Convention in the future and what they would say to anyone considering it.
I interviewed veteran SLPs, grad students, undergrad students, and new SLPs to find out what they thought about the convention and what made them decide to come.
I love the convention because I love being surrounded by like-minded SLPs. I also like to see what’s new and up and coming in the field, so this convention is a great way to stay in the know about speech therapy.
In This Episode You’ll Discover:
- How to meet with different professionals at the convention
- The resources you’ll get for your students
- The inspirational sessions you can check out
- The opportunity to network
- How you can get fresh ideas and therapy materials
That was my final episode live from the ASHA Convention! I really did have so much fun bringing out my microphone and letting these amazing speech professionals get their voices heard right here on the podcast. Maybe next year you can be featured on the podcast from ASHA too!
If you were featured, feel free to share this episode with your audience!
If you are looking for monthly, minimal-prep speech activities that your older speech therapy students will love, make sure to check out my membership SLP Elevate for tons of great resources delivered straight to you every month.
Joke of the Week:
Q: Why can’t the leopard hide?
