Are you curious to know what my favorite toy is in my speech room?!
The most popular toy in my therapy room is currently Crocodile Dentist, voted by my students and myself. I recently got my crocodile a friend, Snappy the Dog. My students are LOVING the new addition. Keep reading to find out why.
What are these games? First off, no batteries or set up included! You can get them cheaply on Amazon, take them out of the box, and use! No instructions are required and can be easily used with ANY task card/stimuli!
How do you play? Students can take turns push down the teeth. A random tooth is the “trigger” and will make the mouth close. It does not hurt but my students like to pretend! Just open up the mouth again and play again! My students like to be strategic and either use a pencil to push down the tooth to avoid getting bit or will try to wiggle the teeth to see if they can guess which is the trigger. They are so sneaky but I love it!
Why else do I love it? They are small and light! Easy to bring to a push-in, for a travel SLP, or cram in a tight closet with the rest of your therapy games.
