How do you keep your older students motivated?
This can be a real challenge, so I am talking all about it in this episode!
I am covering three main reasons why older students aren’t motivated in the first place, and then I am getting into what you can do to change that.
Once we know why our students aren’t motivated, we are able to encourage them and change their mindset. This will not only decrease your stress and save you time, but it will be a total game-changer for your student’s success.
In This Episode You’ll Discover:
- Why older students are often not motivated
- The importance of reminding older students how you will help them
- Making your time together warm and inviting
- How to help your students feel less embarrassed that they are struggling
- Getting your students quick wins to motivate them
I really hope that you find this episode helpful and that you implement some of these ideas with your older students. I am certain that you will see progress in the data you collect in no time!
I'm going to be doing a lot of episodes coming up all about older speech students! They will cover how to keep them motivated, how to keep them engaged, and ultimately, how to get them more success. I also have something really BIG coming soon, so stay tuned for all of that!
