Rules? Yes we need rules so we can be productive. Wondering where to start?
Why are rules important, even in speech?
We need to hold our students accountable so they behave, listen, and challenge themselves. We don't necessarily need them sitting quietly the whole time. You may allow them to move around. You may want them to chat with their peers. Coming up with a routine in your room depends on you and your teaching style. It also depends on the cognitive levels and behaviors of your students. You are going to expect different behaviors from your resource room fifth graders compared to your first grade ABA students.
What are some ideas of rules to use?
