Time 4 Speech Product Review!

· ·

I was fortunate to meet the masterminds behind the Time 4 Speech subscription boxes at ASHA this year. They were generous to provide myself, and the other SLP bloggers a sample box to check out!! I am excited to share the goodies in this bag with you!

Time 4 Speech has come out with a subscription box that targets SLPs and parents students with speech and language disorders! I share my full review of this subscription box inside this blog post, so click through to learn all of the delightful details!

What is Time 4 Speech?

It is like a Birchbox or Ipsy, or any other subscription box program you may have heard of before. But this one is for speech materials! It is a brand new product that was being launched at ASHA. It was designed for preschool aged students. It is a box to be used with 1 student, with either language or articulation delays. Each box has a theme….January’s theme is space! After browsing this box, I can totally see it being MORE appropriate for a parent with a child with speech and language difficulties, rather than an SLP. I can see SLPs suggesting this to the parents of the children they work with when they say “what can I do at home to help?” I do love that this product reminds parents that this should not replace traditional speech therapy with a licensed SLP.

What do I love about this product?

-Fun and motivating theme that can be used throughout the year (for boys and girls)

-Great for a gift or for parents that want suggested ideas for home practice

-Language also not just speech activities

-You get so much for low price

-Activities and targets are carefully selected for the targeted age group, 3-6 years old.

Things to consider with this product:

-it is truly designed for one student. Would be tough to use some of the items in it with a group or multiple children (like the stickers)

-It really is designed for the 3-6 age range. It does not include /r/ or /s/ sounds because those are not developmentally appropriate for that age.

-Lots of little pieces like with the board game and stars.

-I would encourage parents purchasing this for their children to take guidance and suggestions from the SLP working with that child. This way they can carryover with strategies and proper articulatory placements.

Follow Time 4 Speech on social media to learn more about their product and how you can get your own subscription box. I cannot wait to hear what themes and ideas they come up with next!!
